What this covers
Every site in the male.guide network: this apex site, each of the specialist guides, and contented.guide, which is the membership console. The guides and the console handle data differently, so they are described separately below.
On the guides, without an account
You do not sign in and you are not asked who you are. Chat threads, any private reflection notes you type into a page, and your acknowledgement of the boundaries are held in your own browser's local storage on your own device. They are not written to a database we operate. Clearing your browser data for that domain removes them, and because they were never on our servers we cannot retrieve them for you.
On contented.guide, as a member
Membership requires an email address. We store that address, the sign-in links issued to it, your membership status, and the record of which guides you have used.
Your conversations are kept by default. This changed on 16 September 2026. Before that a member's words were discarded unless he chose to keep each one, which asked him to judge the value of a line at the moment he wrote it — the one judgement the console exists because it is hard to make. Keeping is now on unless you turn it off, and you can turn it off at any time in the console. If you turn it off, what you send afterwards is not stored. Anything already kept stays until you delete it, and anything sent while keeping was off was never stored and cannot be recovered.
If you had already made a choice before that date, your choice was left exactly as you set it.
Payment
Membership is paid through Stripe. Stripe processes the payment and holds the card details. We never see or store a full card number.
The AI guides
When you use a chat, your message and the context needed to answer it are sent to the model provider through its API. The provider may retain API inputs and outputs for a limited period, typically up to thirty days, for abuse monitoring, unless law requires longer. Business API data is not used to train the provider's models by default. Please do not type sensitive medical, financial or identifying details into a chat.
Technical logs
The sites run on Cloudflare, which keeps ordinary technical logs for security and troubleshooting, no longer than necessary.
Why we are allowed to hold it
To provide the service you asked for, to keep it running and secure, and to meet legal and accounting obligations. Where we rely on legitimate interests, it is to keep the network working and protected from abuse.
How long
Member account records: for as long as you are a member, and afterwards only as long as accounting and tax law requires. Kept conversations: until you delete them or close your account. Local browser data: until you clear it. Technical logs: as Cloudflare's settings retain them.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of what we hold, correction of anything wrong, deletion, restriction, portability, or to object. Write to [email protected]. If you are not satisfied you can complain to the Spanish data protection authority, the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos.
Where the data sits
Our suppliers — Cloudflare, Stripe and the model provider — may process data outside the European Economic Area under the safeguards their own terms provide.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, the date above changes with it.
